Eric Peña is a founding partner at 4TWELVE Architecture beginning in April of 2018. Previously, Eric was a P+D Associate with the firm Poole + Drennan Design Studio for 3 years, where he was responsible for managing a team working on a variety of architectural remodel projects. Prior to this, Eric worked as a Client Manager completing projects around the country for nationwide restaurant brands. During Eric’s 18 years of architectural experience, he has worked on a variety of project types including in-line restaurant, ground-up restaurant, big-box retail, entitlement studies, prototype development & accessibility consulting as a once Registered Accessibility Specialist in the State of Texas.
During Eric’s time at Poole + Drennan Design Studio, he worked on projects such as TGI Friday’s, Jack in the Box Corporate & Franchisee Community, and Twin Peaks Brands. The focus on these programs were prototype development and site-specific brand image adaptations to non-prototype conversions, which was one niche ability of poole+drennan design studio.
As a Client Manager with Gerdes Henrichson & Associates since 2010, Eric added to his previous project/team management experience working directly with Clients and budgeting programs with office support and schedules. Such nationwide restaurant clients were Darden, Brinker, Front Burner, and Hooters. The projects were located throughout the United States in locations ranging from the home State of Texas to Illinois, Maryland, and down the east coast to Florida. This experience helped further build a programming/planning understanding for working in multiple locations with differing client needs, variable volumes of development, and critical schedule deliverables on a leadership level.
Damon A. Drennan is a founding partner at 4TWELVE architecture. He draws upon 20+ years of experience supporting primarily multi-location, multi-brand clients as they plan, design, remodel and construct buildings and other venues. Damon brings a combination of imaginative thinking and technical prowess, resulting in effective designs that meet and exceed owner / client expectations.
Prior to 4TWELVE, Damon was a principal and founding partner of poole+drennan design studio, responsible for all aspects of the business from marketing to financial planning, architecture to quality control. Project types included retail, in-line and ground-up restaurant, medical office buildings, religious, hotels, and residential. He led the development of two prototypes for TGI Fridays as well as major revamps with RA Sushi and Benihana.
Damon honed his education and early professional development while a project architect and team leader at Carrell, Poole & Yost Architecture, working with national clients such as TGI Fridays, HMS Host, Starbucks and Yum! Brands. Interaction with large scale programming needs, as well as high traffic sites and complex operations models, reinforced Damon’s belief in the importance of overall planning and highly detailed design documentation. This approach forms the bedrock upon which 4TWELVE architecture is founded.
He carries an NCARB membership with architecture registrations in more than 15 states and a Registered Interior Designer in Texas. Damon lives in the metro Dallas area with his spouse, two children, and dog Leia.
Damon A. Drennan is a founding partner at 4TWELVE architecture beginning in April of 2018. Previously, Damon was a principal and founding partner of poole+drennan design studio for 9 years, where he was responsible for all aspects of the business from marketing to invoicing, production to quality control. During Damon’s 15+ years of practice, he has worked on a variety of project types including retail, in-line restaurant, ground-up restaurant, medical office buildings, aviation hangers, religious, hotels, multi-family & single family residential.
During Damon’s time at poole + drennan design studio, he was able to work with multi-location and multi-brand clients in the areas of ground up, inline, and airport. He developed two prototypes for TGI Fridays as well as working with RA Sushi and Benihana to revamp their design. Damon is both imaginative and technical, combining the two into very efficient designs while staying on budget and schedule.
Prior to Poole + Drennan Design Studio, Damon was a project manager at Carrell, Poole & Yost Architecture for 7 years, where he worked on projects with multiple clients such as TGI Friday’s, HMS Host, Starbucks and Yum! Coupled with large airports such as Dallas/Fort Worth International, Newark Airport, El Paso International and Denver International, this honed Damon’s ability to bring a high level of quality to locations which experience high traffic volumes. The keys to success on these projects were in the details, which forms the bedrock in which 4TWELVE architecture is founded.
